New Site! New Look!

We’ll it’s been a lot of work, organizing, coding and learning the ins/outs of WordPress trying to get things just the way I like it but I’m pleased to announce that I have finally finished my new website!!

I’ve been wanting a change for awhile but didn’t have the time, creative muse or solid idea of what I wanted to do. All of those things finally came together this month and voila! – my new website is finished – well almost LOL. I’m still finetuning some pages and am currently testing some new ecarts for the sales end of things.

I decided to use WordPress because I wanted a really good content management system with lots of modules (I like to experiment); the ability to setup private access areas for my clients (I’ve got plans for this) and a way to incorporate galleries, directories and posts with ease. So far I am thoroughly impressed. I’ve dealt with WordPress for clients but nothing too intense before so this was a nice way to get into the nitty gritty of the system and see all that it can offer.

I also wanted to keep a similar brand to what I’ve established on my old site and I’m bonded to my favorite flower – the Calla Lily -  so I decided a nice change would be to create a vector illustrate of the flower and use that for my logo instead. I wanted to deepen my colors a bit more but still keep with my favorite color scheme – black, pink, white and grey.

Overall I’m quite happy with the site and how it turned out! I’ll always been fiddling with different aspects as I learn more about everything WordPress but I happy to open with what I have now.

So welcome to Craftisan Web Studio, browse around and let me know what you think or any suggestions you have in the comments. Thanks! :D
